F1 Mexico GP FP1 Breaking news: Max Verstappen is 4th[F1-Gate.com]

Flash results of the first results of the free practice sessions of the F1 Mexico GP. The FP1 session of the 2022 F1 Round 20 Mexican Grand Prix took place at the Hermanos Rodriguez circuit on Friday 28 October.

Sunny Friday in Mexico City. The 60-minute session started in dry conditions with an air temperature of 24 degrees and a track temperature of 46 degrees. Carlos Sainz Jr. (Scuderia Ferrari) set the fastest time in the first free practice session with a time of 1 minute and 20.707 seconds.

Second place went to Charles Leclerc (Scuderia Ferrari) with a difference of 0.046 seconds, followed by Sergio Perez (Red Bull Racing) with a difference of 0.120 seconds.

Yuki Tsunoda (Scuderia AlphaTauri) will not race in FP1, but rookie Liam Lawson will race. With 4 minutes left, Lawson stopped on the track due to brake problems. The session was marked red and ended as it was.

The second free practice session of the F1 Mexico GP will begin at 6:00 am (4:00 pm local time).
