“F1 Manager 2023: New Features, Changes, and Release Date”

F1 Manager 2023 has been announced, with its reveal trailer released yesterday. With the new Formula 1 game trailer comes details on the new features, changes and game improvements coming to the latest Formula 1 installment. This will be Frontier Development’s second F1 Manager game and the second in the series.

F1 Manager is a game where instead of controlling the driver, you become the head of the team. For those who want to become a Toto Wolf or a Christian Horner, this game gives you the opportunity to do so.

The game lets you manage things from developing cars to managing your staff. The latest installment brings changes in the form of new circuits, Sprint Events and more.

Game Changes

All of the new gameplay changes and features revolve around the new Sports Director, who trains pit crews and improves their performance as the season progresses. The key to this addition is balance. Crew morale and skills will increase, or decrease depending on your team’s performance and your role as manager. It can be the difference between a quick pit stop, or a slow pit stop full of mistakes. You can control aspects such as the team’s training schedule that will affect your performance.

On the track, three major key areas have been improved and expanded: Driver Confidence, Tactics & Tires. This means team heads have to be more careful about their strategy and planning. This will provide a more realistic list of tasks and assignments

Drivers with a good level of confidence will be braver and will try harder to overtake their opponents. Tire temperature will also be much more important, so pay attention to this detail before you start your session. Driver confidence and tire management will greatly influence the tactics your team uses during the race.

On top of that, even things like the car’s weight and reliability also seem to play a part in the team’s strategy.

There will also be a new ERS battle assist option, which can be applied to both offensive and defensive strategies when using DRS. Because the track surface changes throughout the race, and the weather can change at any time, it can impact both the vehicle and the driver. You can also check how well your racers are performing, compared to their performance during the race.

Driver, Contract and Race Upgrades

The Expanded Series Simulation allows players to check out upcoming talent in Formula 2 & 3. These players can then be scouted and potentially onto F1 rosters.

Re-Racing It’s one of the most interesting new modes, but it doesn’t go into much detail yet. This should allow players to rewrite “key moments” and bring them closer to real-life moments of a Formula 1 season. From the sound of it, it looks like you’ll be able to replay actual racing moments from a real Formula 1 season. Frontiers will be releasing more details about this mode soon.

Revised Driver Development allows players to improve certain areas of their drivers. Drivers can’t develop properly once they reach a certain age, which means consistent performance will keep them from getting worse. Contracts are also being revised for drivers and staff members. You can now sign one of them for the start of the next season. This allows managers a bit more leeway when building their own teams.

Racing simulation games have also improved their most important feature… racing simulation. Drivers are now more motivated to perform more realistic maneuvers, such as overtaking. Everything from turning and dashing forward on the straight has been fixed. There’s also an updated incident system that will make those wheel-to-wheel interactions that much more dramatic.

F1 Manager Release Date 2023

The game will release this summer, though no official release date has been confirmed yet. The first game in the series is launching back on August 25, 2022.
