F1 champion Max Verstappen rages at virtual Le Mans “I will never go out again”[F1-Gate.com]

F1 champion Max Verstappen has called on everyone to ‘uninstall the game’ after he and his Team Redline teammates were cut from the race lead at the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Max Verstappen has never been far from his steering wheel during the F1 offseason. It was the same this weekend. He took part in the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans, patiently waiting for the new Formula 1 season and making race fixes.

However, the event was plagued with problems and Max Verstappen was one of many drivers affected. Two servers used for the event suffered a security breach, forcing organizers to red-flag and drivers being cut from the race due to server instability.

Max Verstappen, who was cut off while leading the race for over a minute, declared “game over” after re-entering the game in 17th place.

“They call it incredibly bad luck… well, this is just incompetence,” said Max Verstappen, who crossed his arms in anger on Twitch’s Team Redline livestream.

“They can’t even control their game. They kicked the game off while we were doing this race. This is the third time already.”

“This is the last time I’m in. What’s the point? I’ve been preparing for five months to win this championship and I’m leading the championship. I’ve been preparing for two months to win this race. and they handle it this way.”

“Honestly, it’s a joke. You can’t even call it an event. It’s a clown show.”

“It doesn’t make sense for anyone to drive six hours in 15th place, so we should retire the car. As a team, we are ashamed of all our efforts.”

“It doesn’t work on this platform and I really hope the organizers will consider where to put this game.”

“Game over. I think I’d have more chances if I went to the casino in Vegas… I would have more chances to win.”

“I think I’ll uninstall the game. It’s a good thing, it frees up a little space on my PC. I really hope everyone uninstalls the game too.”

Furious Max Verstappen took to Discord to complain to the organizers again, saying how they can’t control the race if they can’t even control their ‘s**t server’ .

“I’ll write it again. It may be deleted, but don’t worry about it,” Verstappen posted.

“This is what we got after five months fighting for the title and almost two months of preparation for Le Mans. This is for the simracing community and all the big brands and drivers involved. It’s a disgrace, red flags due to cyberattacks are a huge drag on every race, people who get disconnected again get their laps back, but some people can’t get them back because of the ridiculous four-car rule.”

“How can you rely on rules when you can’t even control your own server? This isn’t the first time. I’ve literally been disconnected 3 out of 4 times. Maybe the first or second time I’ll learn I won’t, but it’s a disaster anyway.”

Verstappen is no stranger to virtual racing, having participated in the Sebring 500 last December, but has urged other drivers to boycott and “make something great elsewhere”. Hoping for improvement from the Le Mans organizers.

“What the Le Mans organization did on this platform was just a clown show, so we really have to see what they want to do moving forward.”

“I will never compete again because of my incompetence. I hope many people can follow in my footsteps and build something great somewhere. All of our teams, brands and drivers are more than because it deserves something better.”

A disappointing event for Max Verstappen was less of a disaster for Team Redline as car #2 took the win.
