Ezra Mandira Sugandi, guitarist for the band HiVi!, officially announced his departure from the group. This was conveyed in a live TikTok.
Ezra’s decision to separate from the band that made his name was not made suddenly. He explained his motivation for leaving the band.
“I have chosen to focus on continuing my life journey outside HiVi!, starting from the academic field as an academic,” said Ezra.
“More specifically, resigning from HiVi! for the future and beyond,” he stressed.
The announcement was marked by sad reactions from fans. Many thought Ezra was just taking a break from HiVi!.
“For what reason did Ezra come out crying so much,” said Jjajapa***.
“Oh, I don’t think I’ve watched it in 2 years,” continued caaa***.
“Well, what happens is that when you leave, you don’t come back again?” said Belg***.
Prior to Ezra’s announcement, Febri, a member of HiVi! others, have provided leaks regarding this matter. He revealed that Ezra would go abroad in October to continue his doctoral studies.
“October is Ezra’s last month to appear (with hivi!) because he will continue his PhD abroad,” said Febri at Pestapora 2023.
“Indonesia needs professors, friends. So that everything can develop further and become a matter of pride for us,” he added.
