Meteorology said, according to a statement, that the minimum temperature of the new cities in Greater Cairo will be two degrees lower than expected, with chances of snow forming on the peaks of St. Catherine Mountains, where the minimum temperature reaches less than zero degrees Celsius.
The authority added that wind activity continues on areas of the northern coasts and northern Upper Egypt, which increases the feeling of cold weather, with maritime navigation movement being disturbed in the Mediterranean Sea. Wind speeds are 40 to 50 km/h, and waves are 2 to 3 meters high.
She pointed out that the weather condition was affected by rains of varying intensity in the north of the country, up to Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.
