A cold atmospheric front will pass through the country today. Cloudiness will be significant. A yellow code has been issued for high winds in half of Bulgaria, announced the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).
Before lunch in Western Bulgaria, and after noon there will be rain showers in the eastern regions as well. In the evening, as the temperatures drop, the rain will mix with snow in the Pre-Balkan and on the high valley fields. In most areas the rain will stop quickly and from the northwest the clouds will begin to break and decrease.
Before noon the wind will be from the southwest, after lunch I will find my way from the west-northwest, it will be moderate, in Northern Bulgaria – strong and cold air will invade with it. Maximum temperatures will be between 5° and 10°, in Sofia – around 5°.
NIMH
Cloudiness will be significant along the Black Sea. Rainfall will begin around and after noon, which will stop by the evening in most places. A moderate, temporarily strong wind will blow from the west-northwest. Maximum temperatures will be 8°-10°, close to seawater temperature. The excitement of the sea will be 2-3 points.
Cloudy weather with snowfall will prevail in the mountains. It will blow strong, on the high and exposed parts and stormy wind from the west-northwest. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 2°, at 2000 meters – around minus 3°.
It will be on Saturday very windy. Cloudiness will be variable, at night it will temporarily decrease to clear, during the day it will be more often significant. In some places, mainly in Northern Bulgaria, there will be precipitation, in North-Eastern Bulgaria and the Pre-Balkans – from rain and snow.
On Sunday, the wind will keep its direction from the west-southwest; will weaken slightly, but will still be moderate, in isolated areas to strong. Chance of precipitation is very low, clouds will break and decrease. Warming will begin, which will continue in the coming days. (NIMH)
