377 candidates submitted documents for 25 positions for prosecutors. 246 took an exam on human rights.
Despite demands for the resignation of Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev and criticism of the prosecution, these positions are clearly attractive.
In three of the auditoriums of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” today was held the written exam on the competition for the initial appointment and holding of 25 positions “prosecutor” in 10 regional prosecutor’s offices. This was announced by the Supreme Judicial Council.
Six positions have been announced for the Burgas District Prosecutor’s Office, three for the Montana, Silistra and Shumen District Prosecutor’s Offices, two for Blagoevgrad, Vratsa, Kardzhali and Samokov, and one for Vidin and Haskovo.
In the presence of members of the competition commissions and candidates, a case in criminal law and a test in European Union law and in the field of human rights were drawn.
Of the 377 candidates admitted to the competition, 246 took the written exam.
Candidates who receive a score of no less than 4.50 on the case and no lower than 4.50 on the test will be admitted to an oral exam, the SJC added.
