Today, the 19th, the lingering heat will continue to be severe. From Kyushu to Kanto, there are many places in midsummer where the temperature is over 30 degrees Celsius, and there are some places where the temperature can reach as high as 35 degrees Celsius. In Tohoku and Hokkaido, there are many places where the temperature is lower than yesterday on the 18th, and it will not reach 30℃. However, temperatures above normal are likely to continue.

Maximum temperature in each region

Today, the 19th, the area around Japan will be covered in warm air, and the harsh lingering heat is likely to continue.

From Kanto to Kyushu, there are many places where midsummer days are above 30℃, with Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka expected to see temperatures of 33℃, and Kochi and Kagoshima 32℃. We will soon reach the end of September, and even at this time of year, temperatures in some inland areas can reach up to 35 degrees Celsius.

Many places in Hokkaido, Tohoku, and Hokuriku will have lower temperatures than yesterday, the 18th. Still, Sendai and Niigata are expected to have temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius. Sapporo will also experience summer days with temperatures above 25℃. Although there are fewer places with temperatures above 30℃ compared to yesterday, the 18th, it is likely that temperatures will continue to rise by more than 5℃ above normal.

What will the heat be like in the future?

Tomorrow, the 20th, is likely to be a midsummer day with maximum temperatures of 30℃ or higher in almost half of AMeDAS nationwide. Although there are unlikely to be any extremely hot days with temperatures over 35 degrees Celsius, the harsh lingering heat will continue.

After the 21st, there will be fewer and fewer midsummer spots nationwide. In addition to Hokkaido and Tohoku, there will be almost no midsummer days in the Kanto region around the 23rd or 24th. It looks like there will be some places, especially in high altitude areas, where you can feel the coolness of autumn in the mornings and evenings.
