Dallas- The relentless heat wave will continue this week, with temperatures near record highs in North Texas. This Monday will be the hottest day since July 2018 with a high of 108 (the record is 110 on that day).
There is an excessive heat warning in effect. Temperatures in Dallas and Fort Worth are expected to hover between 104 and 108 degrees in the coming days. The extreme heat alert will probably be extended until Wednesday.

Fortunately, the humidity isn’t unbearable right now, so the heat index is only a degree or two higher than the air temperature. But that’s little consolation when it’s so hot. And the heat wave will continue unabated throughout the week and even a few days after, with no rain in sight. This means the drought will worsen and the fire danger will remain critical.
Excessive heat warnings and heat advisories have been posted for North Texas and parts of Central Texas through Monday. The air temperatures will climb to 105 to 110 degrees in the warning area, with heat index values over 105 degrees in the advisory area. #dfwwx #ctxwx #texomawx pic.twitter.com/hRDyoduOdy
