With the extreme heat predicted for the next number of days, the North Plains Library will be open extended hours to serve as a cooling center for community members (Sat 6/26: 10 am to 8 pm; Sun 6/27: 12 pm to 9 pm; Mon 6/28: 10 am to 7 pm; Tues 6/29: 10 am to 6 pm. Masks are required.). The LaMordden Park spray pad is also open 9 am to 9 pm. Make sure to hydrate, use sunscreen, check on vulnerable family and neighbors, and don’t leave pets or small children in vehicles.
