“Extreme failure by the city of Graz”

dawuede says:

The problem with the city of Graz is that it doesn’t matter which party(s) are in power, it won’t make any difference. The KPÖ now at least manages to make it more or less clear to us that they shit on us in good German. For example, we would get just as little from the ÖVP, except that they might have roped us in for an election campaign with a few promises.

It’s just brutal during the week in Klagenfurt, with a job, family etc. under the circumstances I think 23-24k is world class when you hear what an odyssey some people have undertaken with parking, shuttle buses, plus traffic jams, storms and problems with entry etc. there are a lot of factors that just make the whole thing “cheesy” and are not even feasible for many people under the circumstances.

Realistically speaking, as much as I appreciate the criticism and the banners, I don’t see how we can come to a really satisfactory solution to this matter. I’m not saying that you should accept the status quo, but it is a hopeless situation in Graz. If you look at which fields the women have to train and play on, that the amateurs have to train in Tillmitsch and play in Gleisdorf (if it’s allowed), it’s really a horror. But what are you going to do, even if we actually find the funds for a new building on our own through an imaginary major investor, the Euromillion jackpot or 10 more Højlunds (not going to happen anyway), we would find a reason on which such a construction project can be realized ( won’t happen either) the city would throw every conceivable stick at our feet. As already said, everything is just plain and hopeless. But it doesn’t help.
