Extravagant Appearance and Impressive Performance: These Were the Most Surprising Moments of ‘The Voice’ First Live Show | TV

TVThe first live show of “The Voice Van Vlaanderen” has ended. The candidates showed their best, but unfortunately not all were able to progress to the next round. It’s over for Ashley, Ilaria, Kaat, Julot and Louise.

Laura team

Laura Tesoro’s team got the ball rolling. Ashley fights like a true warrior with “Warrior” Ashley opens the first live show and immediately puts in a tight performance. With Oscar and the Wolf’s “Warrior,” she clearly isn’t about to give up just like that. She looks like a real pop star and corrects her mistake like a pro. Unfortunately, you didn’t get through to the next round.

Tessa ended up as the last candidate in the Laura team and quickly proves that she is more than worthy of her place in the live shows. With Adele’s “Love in the Dark” she gives a beautiful live performance and can move on to the next episode.

Néhémie fills the stage of “The Voice” as if she hadn’t done anything else for years. With “Cry Me A River” she drives the whole audience crazy. And the proud coach Laura sits there and looks at her with extreme pride. She picked him first to go on the second live show.

Team Jan

Then it was the turn of jury member Jan Paternoster. How beautiful is this subdued version of “No One Knows” by Queens Of The Stone Age? But for Mathieu it’s all a bit too much in line. Luckily, Coach Jan is completely crazy about the magical universe that Marilou manages to create. He immediately took her to the second round.

Wesley opts for a strong version of Elvis’ “Suspicious Minds”. Koen thinks it’s not only a very good show, but also very well sung. Natalia absolutely loves the vibe during Wesley’s performance. He too can pass.

Ilaria chooses Rosa Linn’s ‘Snap’ poppy. Will this perfectionist be able to convince coaches and fans? Absolute! There are only words of praise after her performance. Jan is again a very proud coach. Unfortunately for Ilaria it wasn’t enough to make it.

Team Mathieu

Evert brings Jamie Cullum’s jazz song ‘Gran Torino’. Accompanied by the one and only Hans Francken on piano. Natalia already attributes him a great talent: he makes people stop and listen to him.

Kaat blows up the first live show with Lewis Capaldi’s “Forget Me”. All the coaches loved her fresh look, Laura even calls her the role model Flanders needs. Unfortunately, her performance wasn’t enough to continue.

Yente carries Lorde’s beautiful and subdued ‘Liability’. Koen Wauters even dares to call it the best performance of the evening and coach Mathieu watched with his mouth open.

Natalia team

Reuben pours soul. He performs “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars. He even makes superstar Laura forget the original. And coach Natalia is at least as proud as Ruben and Néhémie’s mother and father. He can definitely go to the next live show.

Julot shows a whole different side of himself in live shows. He shines with Kygo’s “Love Me Now” ft. Zoe Be. He also took dance lessons from Roy Julen and gives a super good performance. Coach Natalia shines (literally and figuratively) with pride. Unfortunately this was the last show for Julot.

Louise can finally throw herself into a live show of ‘The Voice van Vlaanderen’ this season. And she took full advantage of this opportunity! With Cher’s “Believe” and a bunch of impressive choirs and horns, she proves that her place on stage is 300% deserved.

Koen team

Rosann attends the first live show for a Dutch song. She brings the beautiful “That Did You Done” by Meau. And how! Her greatest talent? She can always move without becoming corny. Coach Koen can lean back very satisfied in her big red chair.

Johan had to learn to do his own thing completely. With Adele’s “Fire To The Rain” he clearly gives a very powerful performance. Johan even manages to convince Natalia that for before she had her doubts about this song

Doesn’t Louise look like she was born on stage? She performs Kate Bush’s difficult “Running Up That Hill”. Beautiful looks, an original choreography and a strong voice. Koen even calls her a true artist.
