A woman in south Africa (South Africa) reportedly gave birth to 10 babies at once, which has the potential to set a new world record.

As reported BBC, Thursday (10/6/2021), this woman named Gosiame Thamara Sithole reportedly gave birth Twins 10 in Pretoria, South Africa, on Monday (7/6) evening local time. Sithole’s condition is reported to be healthy after giving birth to the babies she was carrying for 29 weeks.

“Seven boys and three girls. I’m happy. I feel emotional. I can’t talk much,” Sithole’s husband, Teboho Tsotetsi, told local media, Pretoria News, after the birth of the babies.

Tsotetsi said that his family was shocked at the birth of these 10 babies because previously an ultrasound showed eight babies in his wife’s womb.

A South African government official confirmed the birth of 10 babies at once to BBC, but they said they had not seen the babies in person.

Separately, a member of the Sithole family who did not wish to be named revealed to BBC that the 10 babies were born by different methods, namely five babies were born vaginally and the other five babies by caesarean section.

The 37 -year -old Sithole was previously reported to have also given birth to twins, who are now 6 years old.
