A shooting in front of the Plovdiv Court House set the police on their feet. The action erupted in broad daylight, shortly after 4 pm, police told BLIC.
Two Roma families from Stolipinovo got into a fight after they had a child custody case. About 50-60 people from both sides took part in the melee. There was hand-to-hand combat, followed by gas fire.
Police teams are on the scene, which is located opposite the Judicial Chamber. The space in front of the court is cut off.
The mass brawl was stopped and the situation was brought under control.
An investigation has been launched into the case.
