Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi officially confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will attend the G20 meeting in Bali. This was reported by TASS, citing Indonesian sources.
The Indonesian foreign minister also stressed that “the current world situation is unstable”, but the department is trying to establish contacts with the leaders of the two countries.
The summit will be held in Bali from 15 to 16 November.
Previously, Putin and Zelensky decided to attend the G-20 meeting. A possible G20 summit would be the first face-to-face meeting between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine since the start of the special military operation on 24 February. “We want to make the G20 a platform for peace, not conflict,” said Indonesian ambassador Husin Bagis.
