The mayor of Plovdiv Zdravko Dimitrov cancels the fireworks on New Year’s Eve. In this way, the city under the hills will support the initiative of the Four Paws Foundation, which is joined by some of the municipalities in the country, including Sofia.
Zdravko Dimitrov appealed to citizens not to use or at least limit the use of pyrotechnics and fireworks in New Year’s celebrations. Traditionally, the Municipality of Plovdiv has prepared an interesting holiday program for people who want to celebrate the New Year outdoors. The celebrations for the celebration of 2022 will start on the big stage on Stefan Stambolov Square at 10 pm.
We can only congratulate the mayor of Plovdiv for the decision! And let’s remember that explosions stress not only animals, but small children and children with autism.
