The film Extraordinary Event entered theaters this week. Its director is Jiří Havelka, who has successful Owners. What absurd starting situation did he choose for filming this time?
As we have already informed you, he was inspired by a real event that took place in the Czech Republic three years ago. The driver then missed the train on the regional line between Velký Meziříčí and Křižanov.
Havelka admitted that there was only a short television report about the event, which fascinated him so much that he began to think of it as a filmmaker. So he started looking for more information.
“Then I found reports from social networks published by one boy right during that frantic ride. In one report, I then saw a lady who succumbed to real panic and fear for her life,” said the director in interview for the daily Právo.
According to Havelka, the direct actors experienced a real extraordinary event on the railway as a catastrophic film. In film processing, it is more of a tragicomedy.
