Former world champion Toni Kroos and former Bayern defender David Alaba would have loved to see world star Kylian Mbappé in the Real Madrid jersey. “He takes the penalty and scores the goal. Not everything can be defended,” Kroos told the Amazon Prime Video streaming service after the 1-0 defeat in the first leg of the Champions League on Tuesday at Paris Saint-Germain. His Real team-mate Alaba added: “He’s a player who can make the difference, which is very dangerous. You saw that in the last second.”
Mbappé, of course, who else? A decisive action that will feed his legend,” wrote the “L’Équipe”. The French world champions, who are being courted by Los Blancos, scored the well-deserved winner in the fourth minute of added time. Before that, he got the penalty, but Lionel Messi missed it.
“Paris put a lot of pressure”
This threatens the record winner from Madrid with an early end. “Even if it’s unfortunate, the result is still the best,” admitted Kroos. That’s how Alaba saw it: “We had few solutions to get forward. Paris put a lot of pressure on.”

It remains to be hoped for the royals that they will at least win the race for the free transfer Mbappé in the summer.
