Duel had a lightning start, in the 45th second he escaped Dukla Waleg’s defense, Valent tripped him and a penalty shot followed. Čuvilov got a chance in it, but the goalkeeper of Trenčín read his intention and pulled out the left concrete in time. The Liptovs soon got into the lead, in the 4th minute Valent still covered Uhrík’s shot, but the rebounded puck got into Walega’s net – 1: 0. Shortly afterwards, he had a hockey stick called Hovorka, who was already finishing in the open goal, at the last moment he put a hockey stick in the fall of Kudla. The guests showed little in the 1st period, Vošvrda sweated the most in the 14th minute at the run of Paukovček.
In the second part, Dukla increased his offensive efforts and Vošvrda had to intervene twice in quick succession during the experiments of Valach and Tybor. Berisha, who constantly employed Vošvrda, was especially active, and Valach, who did not hit a practically empty goal, also threw away a great opportunity. In the 36th minute, however, the experienced Mayor traveled to the penalty bench and L. Mikuláš used the power play thanks to Handlovský, whose shot was unhappily flowing into Chovan’s own net – 2: 0. Trenčín graduated from the onslaught at the end of the third period and survived 57 s before the siren, when Berisha finished just above Vošvrd’s catcher.
Even at the beginning of the third part, Dukla’s players easily penetrated the offensive zone, the home defenders could not stop them and left everything to Vošvrda. He caught Tybor perfectly in the 47th minute. The people of Trenčín then seemed to offend happiness, nervousness crept into their hockey sticks. The inaccuracy in the construction of the attacks was documented by an incredible series of forbidden releases filed by Dukla players. It wasn’t until the 53rd minute that they came up with a more dangerous action, but the Vošvrd trap caught Berisha’s shot. In the end, the “soldiers” recalled the goalkeeper, but they did not receive a tie, on the contrary, Kriška sealed the result to the final goal with a goal of 3: 1.
