The HK Nitra hockey players forced the decisive seventh match of the Kaufland playoff quarterfinals of the Tipos extra league. On Saturday, HK Poprad clearly won on the ice 5: 1 and equalized the series to 3: 3.

At the beginning of the match, the defense of both teams worked carefully, especially the guests, who after nine seconds had to manage two minutes in a numerous disadvantage. The German went to the penalty box for a foul on Mešár. Tensions began to rise in the second ten minutes. After a curious goal from Baláž, who scored in the 13th minute from behind the goal after rebounding the puck from Tomek’s back, Buncis fouled the home team’s Brejčák. Subsequently, the “Chamois” and their fans invoked the punishment of the goalkeeper Honzík, who according to them deliberately moved the goal. However, Nitra continued to play in the quadruple, 11 seconds before the end of Buncis’ penalty it got renumbered and Hrnka swung Tomek to the right. In the 16th minute, Brejčák caught another hit, Sýkora hit him hard in the corner and the defender, with knee pain, revealed to the substitute.
He had to endure another hard intervention right at the beginning of the second period. In the second minute, his team missed a big chance when Ully failed to finish the combination in renumbering with Arniel.
