In Trenčín, the game was active from the beginning and the puck moved from side to side. The home team’s Minárik had the first chance when he pushed to Rahm in the 5th minute, but did not overcome him. On the other hand, Osterberg, who arrived at the puck in front of the attentive Bowns, did not march. The guests were more active, but the first goal came in the 9th minute on the other side. Chovan pulled the puck into the zone, exchanged it with Tybor, crossed behind the goal and from there caught Rahm, who did not guard the space at the pole – 1: 0. With 13 minutes played, Krieger nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Osterberg’s chance was thwarted again by Bowns. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as Rahm tried lifting the ball over keeper Berishu.

At the beginning of the second act, the home team played three power-ups in a short sequence, almost 40 seconds and five against three, but they scored only at equilibrium. After a large advantage, they continued in pressure, Kudla passed to Rehuš from behind the goal and he increased it to 2: 0 in the 29th minute. Zvolen got a chance in the 33rd minute, but Bowns picked up a great opportunity for Csányi. However, the guests arrived three minutes later. Nemčík went on penalty for a cross and his unnecessary foul was penalized by Zuzin’s swing – 2: 1. The people of Trenčín then did not even use their fourth power play in the match and subsequently showed them again how the guests are doing. In the 39th minute, Viedenský passed from behind the goal and Puliš equalized to 2: 2.

After the second break, however, the home hockey players took the lead again, when they defended themselves from weakening and Valach prevailed from the subsequent counterattack – 3: 2. With 47 minutes played, Mahbod nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Trenčín allowed the opponent only three shots on goal in 14 minutes of the third period, and when Sojčík increased Rahm to 4: 2 in the 55th minute, it seemed to be painted. However, the elders reduced it by a minute thanks to Osterberg, so it was still a drama in the end. At first he could decide in the raid Tybor, but he failed and so the penalty came on the other side. In the game, without the goalkeeper, he pushed himself with a shot from the angle of Krieger – 4: 4.

In overtime, both teams worked out several opportunities, but they did not make it to the end, so they had to decide on the winner for the raids. The guests were led by Zuzina after a goal, but in the fourth series Bezúch equalized and subsequently decided the home team’s Tybor to win, when Puliš hesitated on the other side.
