14 h 03.- Lola Montemaggi and two other suspects on their way to Nancy

Arrested with her daughter Mia this Sunday in Switzerland in a squat in the commune of Sainte-Croix, Lola Montemaggi was extradited this Friday to France. The 28-year-old mother was handed over to the French authorities around 11 am at the Thônex-Vallard border post and should arrive in Nancy around 3:30 pm She will then be presented to Aurélie Valente, the judge of the JIRS (interregional jurisdiction) responsible for the case.

The latter had, this same Sunday, April 11, indicted the five people who had been presented to him: Sylvain P., nicknamed Pitchoun, 58 years old (Paris), Adrien B., nicknamed Bouga, 42 years old (Doubs), Clément R ., nicknamed le Corbeau, 23 years old (Seine-et-Marne), Bruno B., 60 years old (North of Meurthe-et-Moselle) and Jean-Luc W., nicknamed Jeannot, 60 years old, from Lilas (Seine- St Denis).

The qualifications retained by the courts were as follows: “participation in criminal association with a view to committing a crime” and “kidnapping of a minor committed in an organized gang”. The first four named had been remanded in custody by the judge of freedoms and detention (JLD). Jean-Luc W., he had been placed under judicial control and this measure had been confirmed, when the prosecution had appealed, by the chamber of instruction of Nancy on Thursday.

Romeo also on his way to Nancy

The qualifications for which Lola Montemaggi will be indicted are currently unknown. Also arrested in Switzerland last weekend, the nicknamed Romeo should also be presented to the magistrate. On the day of the kidnapping, Tuesday April 13, this 41-year-old Frenchman living in Friborg, named Fabrice, had recovered the mother and child as soon as they crossed the border. He had driven them, at the wheel of his Porsche Cayenne, to a bed and breakfast in Estavayer-le-Lac where they had spent the night. The next day, Lola and Mia Montemaggi had reached Neuchâtel by taxi, where they had spent another night, before leaving for the Sainte-Croix squat.

In addition, a woman is part of the trip this Friday to the JIRS in Nancy. She should be indicted for the criminal association but not for the kidnapping. She would be the secretary who managed one of Rémy Daillet-Wiedemann’s mailboxes.

In this case, two arrest warrants were also issued. One against Rémy Daillet-Wiedemann, 55, a figure in the conspiracy movement and suspected of having contributed to the kidnapping of little Mia by influencing the kidnappers. The man is settled in the Langwaki archipelago, in northern Malaysia. The authorities of this country indicated on Thursday that they were ready to collaborate with the French justice.

The other arrest warrant concerns Jérôme S., nicknamed Basile, who would reside in Lorraine and would be one of the two false educators who presented themselves to Mia’s grandmother on the day of her kidnapping.
