Netflix will release an eighth episode on Wednesday for their well-watched documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness. The episode will be released on Sunday in the United States. Actor Joel McHale, known for his comedy series Community, let through Twitter know that he is interviewing people involved about the impact the series has made.
McHale says he speaks to people like Jeff and Lauren Lowe, Erik Cowie, John Reike and Rick Kirkham. Main character Joe Maldonado-Passage – known as Joe Exotic – is currently in jail and will not be mentioned. Also Carole Baskin and Don Lewis, important figures in the first seven episodes, do not seem to appear in the new episode.
Tiger King is about tiger breeders with private zoos in the United States. The eccentric figures take each other to life and go further and further to prove themselves right. Central is the feud between Maldonado-Passage and Baskin, who both run their own zoo.
The revealing documentary series proved to be a hit in recent days. In the Netherlands, the series is in the top three of the most viewed titles on Netflix.
