The rest of the budget is mainly for extra cleaning staff and for hygiene and disinfection measures. About 17 million euros has been provided for this. Because of these measures, a cleaning assistant would have to work 20 minutes more than usual to clean a classroom. Schools can also use the extra cleaning budget to purchase CO2 meters, which check whether a classroom is sufficiently ventilated.
In addition, more than 2 million euros extra will go to boarding schools with permanent facilities and medical pedagogical institutes to provide extra reception capacity. After all, those institutions must offer care to the pupils of the 2 in case of code orange or redof in 3of level of secondary education during the weeks that they receive distance learning.
Finally, a budget of 1 million euros has been provided for additional staff for the Pupil Guidance Centers (CLB). They are responsible for contact tracing within education.
