EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Oliver Varhei expects Bulgaria to agree to start the negotiation process with Skopje within three weeks, BGNES reported.
Varhei talks with President Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska.
Varheli wrote on Twitter: “Intensive meeting with Minister T. Genchovska today in Sofia. We discussed the direct consequences of the war in Ukraine for the #WesternBalkans and beyond. “We are working on a mutually acceptable solution so that we can start the first meeting to start negotiations with the PCM and Albania (IPC) in June,” he wrote.
