Externally warned: Travel to this country only in case of emergency – 2024-09-29 12:21:38

Travel to the State of Israel and residence in the country should only be undertaken in cases of urgency. This is what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) advises on its website. All citizens arriving and leaving the State of Israel through Ben Gurion Airport should inform themselves in advance through their airline about possible changes in their flights, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states.

Today and tomorrow, there will be no flights to Israel from the airline “Bulgaria Air”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs and reminds that in connection with the latest developments in the situation in the Middle East region, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency has published a recommendation for refraining from flying in Israeli airspace until October 31.

To all Bulgarian citizens located in the territory of the State of Israel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds of its recommendation to strictly adhere to the instructions of The Israeli Civil Defense (Home Front Command) and to submit accurate data on the duration of your stay and contact details to the Bulgarian Embassy in Tel Aviv, in order to provide maximum assistance from our side if necessary:

Yesterday it was announced that measures are being taken by the Bulgarian state to evacuate our compatriots from Lebanon. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs specified that in connection with the escalation of the situation in the Middle East and more specifically in Lebanon, the acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov are in constant contact.

And the Acting Prime Minister convened a meeting today in the Council of Ministers with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Secretariat of the Security and Services Council. The topic of the meeting is the measures of the Bulgarian state for the safe removal of our compatriots from Lebanon.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Bulgarian citizens to stop all trips to the Lebanese Republic and to leave the country immediately.
