The company came to my attention thanks to Instagram ads Power Rabbitwhich is an external battery rental service created in Latvia.
The new service offers to rent an external battery for a certain period of time in order to charge your device while the user is on the go or simply suddenly the battery level is critically low. Power Rabbit has placed its stations with six or twelve batteries in various locations. One battery will have a capacity of 5000mAh and will weigh 150g. Charging will be possible with USB-C, Micro USB and Lightning ports.
To start the rental, you will need to download the Power Rabbit app and scan the QR code of the specific station, which will allow you to identify it. The algorithm will then automatically assign the battery that has the most charge, and no defective battery will be issued. The price of the first hour is 1.99 EUR, and each subsequent hour is 1.49 EUR, but the total daily charge will not exceed 6.99 EUR, and one battery can be used for up to three days.
For now, charging stations are available in various locations in Riga and in one location in Ogre.
