The extensive disturbances in card payments that occurred on Tuesday have been corrected. Nordea informed about it message service in X on Tuesday evening.
There were extensive disturbances in card payments during Tuesday. According to Nordea, the disruptions were caused by problems with the services of the company Nets, which offers card payment services to banks. On the Nets website, it was reported that there were disturbances in Finnish operations starting at 1:30 p.m.
Nordea’s communications person Mari Yli-Sirniö told Iltalehti by email that the disturbance has had an impact on card payments of several banks.
– There were two very short-term disturbances in card payments today, which were caused by a disturbance in the service of our service provider.
Yli-Sirniö says that the rejected payments may have caused several margin provisions on the account. Unnecessary cover provisions will be removed automatically.
Nordea said in X a little before five that there were two very short-term disturbances in card payments today.
– Update at 5:37 p.m.: Unfortunately, the disruption at the service provider still affects card payments, Nordea updated the situation a little before six o’clock.

Login problems

– The matter is being investigated, and it will be fixed as soon as possible. Other login methods work as normal.
According to Yli-Sirniö, this has nothing to do with disturbances in card payments.
