The stability of the health situation in Loire-Atlantique is notably due to the good respect by the majority of the population of the barrier measures put in place in the department. Thus, in order to continue to slow down the epidemic in Loire-Atlantique, the prefect of the Pays de la Loire region, prefect of Loire-Atlantique, has extended the obligation to wear a mask outdoors until September 15, 2021. From Wednesday 11 August and until Wednesday 15 September inclusive, and in all the municipalities of the department it is recalled that any person aged eleven or over must wear a protective mask in all enclosed places (establishment receiving of the public) defined in decree n ° 2021-699 of 1 June 2021 as amended and on public spaces characterized by a high concentration of people when physical distancing cannot be respected in the places and / and activities identified below :
- markets, flea markets, unpacked sales and the like;
- gatherings of people including events, festivals, street performances,
- fireworks, matches…;
- queues: shops, concerts, cinema,…;
- near stations, airports and ports;
- busy streets and pedestrian areas;
- near shopping centers, businesses and schools
- and extracurricular, places of worship and all the ERP at the times of entry and exit on these sites;
The obligation to wear a mask provided for in the prefectural decree does not apply:
- in parks, gardens, beaches, river banks and large natural spaces
- people with disabilities who have a medical certificate justifying this exemption and who implement the hygiene measures, defined in the appendix to Decree No. 2020-1310 of October 29, 2020, to prevent the spread of the virus;
- to any person practicing a sporting activity;
- to drivers traveling in motorized two-wheelers and wearing a helmet with the visor down;
