EXTENSION OF TERRACES (ON REQUEST) FOR THEIR REOPENING

test2-

From May 19, 2021, the date of the announced reopening of the terraces, the cafes, hotels, restaurants and nightclubs in Rennes will be able to create or expand free terraces in the public domain for the duration of the season. As was already the case in 2020, fans of the Rennes terraces will find more space than usual.

This exceptional arrangement for occupying the public domain applies to all businesses that may or may not already have a terrace authorization and will last until October 31, 2021. In connection with these creations or extensions of terraces, the City will be able to pedestrianize temporarily streets on specific time slots and days, also until October 31. This device will be specified by municipal decree for each of the streets concerned.

After October 31, the already existing terraces will have to return to their initial influence and the temporarily authorized spaces will have to be fully returned to the public domain. To make a request for the creation or extension of a terrace, each merchant must send an email to the Temporary Occupation of the Public Domain of the City at the following address [email protected] specifying their contact details, the name of the business, their address and the details of their request; as well as by committing to respect the charter downloadable here. This charter must be displayed in the businesses participating in the operation.
