The relevant resolution provides that the period for the physical identification of recipients of pension and social benefits has been extended until December 31, 2023. This applies to internally displaced persons registered before February 24, 2022.
Thus, until the end of this year, even in the absence of identification, the state will not stop these payments, and Oschadbank will not block accounts.
In addition, the ruling expands the physical identification required to continue receiving social benefits. In particular, it will be possible to carry out identification of a person using video conferencing, during the session of which identification documents will be presented.
The following are also equated to physical identification:
authorization in a personal electronic account on the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine using a remote qualified electronic signature Action Signature (Diya ID); certification by a foreign diplomatic institution of Ukraine of the fact that a person residing abroad is alive.
Increase in pensions in 2023
Recall that since March 1, indexation of pensions has been carried out in Ukraine and the size of the minimum pensions and pension payments to certain categories of pensioners has been increased. The size of the pension increase could be no less than 100 and no more than 1500 hryvnia.
In July, it was reported that the average pension for six months increased by 688.85 hryvnia, or by 14.9% to 5,311.44 hryvnia.
