With the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission launched a case review and investigation into Li Zaiyong, a former member and vice chairman of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, for serious violations of discipline and law.
After investigation, Li Zaiyong lost his ideals and beliefs, abandoned his original mission, had a distorted view of political performance, and a misplaced view of power. He seriously deviated from the Party Central Committee’s major decisions and arrangements, failed to implement new development concepts, engaged in “performance projects” that wasted people and money, and arbitrarily borrowed debt in violation of regulations, resulting in Major debt risks, serious damage to the local ecological environment, deliberate efforts to resist organizational censorship, and long-term superstitious activities; ignoring the spirit of the eight central regulations, illegally accepting banquets and travel arrangements that may affect the fair execution of official duties, and seeking special treatment; violating organizational principles, concealing Failure to report personal-related matters, failure to explain problems truthfully when asked by the organization, and seeking benefits for others during the selection and appointment of cadres; accepting gifts and money in violation of regulations, engaging in power, sex, and money transactions; ignoring the interests of the masses and interfering with the masses’ autonomy in production and operation; Violating the rules and intervening in judicial and disciplinary and law enforcement activities; being morally corrupt, pursuing vulgar interests, and being obsessed with gambling for a long time; losing the bottom line of discipline and law, not distinguishing between relatives and friends, engaging in power-for-money transactions, and taking advantage of his position to assist others in project contracting, project planning approval, etc. Seeking profit and illegally accepting huge amounts of property; abusing his power and causing significant losses to public property, the interests of the country and the people.
Li Zaiyong seriously violated the Party’s political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, mass discipline, work discipline and life discipline, constituting a serious job violation and being suspected of bribery and abuse of power crimes. He did not restrain himself or stop after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The nature is serious and the impact is bad, so it should be dealt with seriously. In accordance with the “Disciplinary Punishment Regulations of the Communist Party of China”, the Supervision Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Administrative Punishments for Public Servants, and other relevant provisions, after study by the Standing Committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection at a meeting and reported to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for approval, it was decided to expel Li Zaiyong from the party; by The National Supervisory Commission dismissed him from public office; terminated his qualifications as a representative of the 13th Guizhou Provincial Party Congress; confiscated his illegal income; and transferred his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law, and the property involved was also transferred.
