Bologna, 23 October 2023 – Five expressions of interest for the Magneti Marelli of Crevalcore who sees his job at risk 229 employees employed in the plant.

For confidentiality, no names of the possible investors yet but they are industrial entities, of different sizes, active in the casting and processing of aluminum for various sectors, starting from automotive and energy: four are Italian companies it’s a multinational.
“A very delicate and important step, which already sees industrial entities in the field with their own process and product autonomy. Thus we believe a discussion can be undertaken, starting from the labor unions, for the reindustrialisation of the site but above all for the maximum protection of all jobs”, comments the regional councilor for Economic Development and Labour, Vincenzo Colla.

Bonaccini and the moves of the US fund
“It’s not clear why Kkr wants to close the Crevalcore plant (by Magneti Marelli, ed.). And now he comes forward with an offer to acquire Tim. Marelli, in the Crevacore plant, employs 229 people, the site specializes in components for cars with traditional engines. Sold in 2018 by FCA to the Japanese company Calsonic Kansei controlled by US fund Kkrin recent weeks the owners have expressed their desire to close the Emilian production.
Marelli workers are still protesting in front of Crevalcore despite the suspension of the closure announced by the Japanese owners. The dispute is still open.
