A gold trader in Jayapura City, Papua, Nasruddin alias Acik (44), was killed by an Afghan resident with the initials MM. The murder was orchestrated by Nasruddin’s wife herself, Virgita Legina Hellu (25), who had an illicit relationship with the perpetrators of MM.
Before the murder case surfaced, Virgita admitted that she had been the victim of a robbery with her husband on the way back to her home in Jayapura. He said victim Nasaruddin was attacked by sharp weapons by robbers on Jalan Hanurata, Holtekam, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, Papua, last Tuesday (28/6).
“At that time the witness was sleeping and suddenly woke up and saw that the victim had been threatened with a knife by four perpetrators using a four-wheeled vehicle, but the witness did not know the type of vehicle used by the perpetrator because it was dark,” said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal. in his statement, Monday (5/7).
Still in Virgita’s ruse, after Nasruddin was threatened with a sharp weapon, the perpetrator asked Nasruddin to get out of the car and take valuables. Virgita, who saw Nasruddin being persecuted, admitted that she was threatened.
“Then the victim was abused by the perpetrators by using sharp objects and threatening the witness to be quiet. The witness who saw the incident tried to protect the victim who had fallen down with a wound on the back of the neck,” said Ahmad.
To the police, Virgita admitted that she saw the perpetrators of the persecution fleeing using a four-wheeled vehicle and said that her bag was also taken by the perpetrators. The victim was immediately taken to Bhayangkara Hospital for a post-mortem.
“From the post-mortem results from the hospital, it was found that there were several wounds suspected of being sharp objects all over the victim’s body, head, back, hands and feet,” he said.
