Exposed: Popular Blender Models Found to be Grossly Overrated in Power Claims by Russian Blogger

Popular blender models turned out to be tens of times less powerful than the manufacturers claim.

Russian YouTube blogger Alexey Nadezhin spent an unusual experiment with blenders and found out whether the declared power of household appliances corresponds to reality. Spoiler: far from it.

The first enthusiast to test was the Home Element HE-KP839 model. The Russian cost of the device is 3.5-4 thousand rubles. On the box, the manufacturer indicated a rated power of 300 W and 700 W at maximum load. To measure power, the blogger used the Peacefair PZEM-018 device. The results are disappointing:

  • The actual power of the blender without load is 13 W;
  • Power with chopper attachment – 24.4 W;
  • The maximum received power is 36.5 W.

The author of the experiment calculated that the manufacturer exaggerated the minimum and maximum power of the blender by 6 and 19 times, respectively.

Next, the man tested a German Braun Multiquick blender with a claimed power of 600 W, which had been in use for about 16 years. The device showed that the real power of the device is 34 W, under maximum load – 73 W. The expert admits that the blender could have “weakened” during use, but the difference with the manufacturer’s statements is still phenomenal.

The author of the experiment clarified that not only blender manufacturers, but also companies that create LED light bulbs deceive in this way. Often the latter indicate the power of the lamps twice as high as the real one.

The Russian doubted that people should pay attention to the large numbers that companies write when choosing to buy a household appliance. “Oh, this one is more powerful than this one, I’ll take it!” – not the best method for selecting most equipment, Alexey summed up.
