Expobar is consolidated as a union space for entertainment and night tourism unions – News from Panama Daily newspaper of Panama News

Expobar annually brings together all representatives of the sector, entities and businessmen, with specific achievements and representativeness, which will change the current reality

(Nov 27, 2023 – web) Colombia.- The power of the night was experienced with a majestic version of Expobar, more than 4,100 people gathered for two days at Theatron, which marked a before and after in the potentialization and growth of this industry. Innovation, entrepreneurship, great guests, sustainability, technology, artistic expressions and great achievements such as the creation of the First Ibero-American Congress of Night Industries and the Law of the Night were topics of interest in this version.

In coordination with travel agencies, a strategy was worked on to promote tourism promotion of Cundinamarca and its regions, integrating the gastronomic and cultural bets of bars and gastrobars that offer cultural experiences within the itineraries for nighttime activities. All this momentum will be replicated in other regions so that inbound tourism continues to grow in the country.

“At a time of great challenges, we completed this decade by managing not only to provide academic and strategic contributions but also to create new bets at different levels that will make a new history in this industry with a wide scope,” said Camilo Ospina Guzmán, President of the Board. The union of the sector is consolidated

Definitely “no one is better than everyone together” and under this premise, Expobar annually brings together all representatives of the sector, entities and businessmen, this time, with specific achievements and a representativeness that will change the current reality.

It became clear that this sector drives the economy in a key way. It also creates direct and indirect jobs, especially for young people and women. This is how the discussion of employing more responsibly with social benefits was put on the table.

New trends and technology could not be ignored and that is why more than 500 people were trained for free in different areas such as logistics, security, liquors, mixology and supplies such as Viche. Entrepreneurs and the creative and cultural industries were also protagonists.

Knowledge is key and the academic agenda bore fruit with new strategies such as gastromarketing, which goes far beyond managing social networks to boost sales. As for technology, it is an ally to improve security, which continues to be one of the relevant points, and inventory management in bars and restaurants through AI.

More than significant achievements

Nightlife Iberoamérica is a reality! The Ibero-American Congress of Night Industries was officially established, which in this first edition had the participation of Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Mexico and Venezuela, in which the challenges and opportunities were debated by addressing topics of interest in all countries such as security, the professionalization of the service, the dignity of nightlife, changing the misconception that exists about those who work at night and the union to improve practices. Actions will begin with the circulation of DJs in the main venues in the countries.

Also at the local level, Juan Daniel Oviedo, Councilor-elect of Bogotá, will present the BOGOTA 24 HOURS agreement that will promote security, mobility, coexistence and security in the city. Likewise, it was announced that Pereira will have its “Manager for the Night” headed by Mauricio Vega, respected leader of the coffee axis, and Cundinamarca will continue to strengthen its “FLAVORS OF CUNDINAMARCA” route including the liquid gastronomy of the region.

On the other hand, the creation and upcoming filing in the first quarter of 2024 of the Night Law was approved, which will serve to give that forceful boost to the sector and will be presented to the Congress of the Republic, including topics such as incentives in nighttime hiring, security, training, certifications and creation of Night Management in cities that will generate better quality, enjoyment and competitiveness of destinations.

“We deliver for the sector, not only with the support each year through this Congress but also by creating new spaces and promoting a law that will benefit and support the entire value chain of the nighttime industry,” concludes Eduardo Montoya, Director. Executive of Asobares and Expobar 2023.

Once again, the companies that have made contributions with their careers received recognition as “Stars of the Night” in the different categories. Soccer joined Expobar and along with music, they made it vibrate between goals, mariachis, DJs and many other live sounds, in addition to the 6 musical duels. Betting as 24-hour cities will continue to be part of Expobar’s management to boost the economy.

An edition ends that definitely marked the history of the night and leaves open a new path in which there were more than 60 speakers, panels, presentations, success stories and of course with the participation of all the people and companies that have taken advantage of the tools and the networking that Expobar provides. A new era has already begun and progress will be seen along the way while waiting for the next meeting.
