The San Nicolás mega-exhibition “far exceeded everyone’s expectations” and “once again established itself as the main agro-industrial exhibition in the region,” the organization stated.
After the closing of the 2024 edition of Expoagro, which took place from March 5 to 8, the organizers assured that the numbers speak of a “record” exhibition. According to Martin Schvartzman, CEO of Exponenciar – the company behind Expoagro -, “we had a record attendance with more than 180,000 visitors and more than 2,000 million dollars in credit applications.”
The most important open-air agroindustrial exhibition in the region, a showcase of “the latest technology available for agricultural machinery, inputs and services for agribusiness” continues to provide material to cut. Thus, Schvartzman mentioned that “there are good expectations in the sector regarding the new Government. Furthermore, recently we have had very good weather, with rain, and a very important harvest forecast.”

Patricio Frydman, Commercial Manager of Exponenciar, reflected that “Expoagro was an exhibition that far exceeded everyone’s expectations. We have experienced significant growth in transaction volume, doubling the figures from previous years. Furthermore, the increase in attendance was also notable, almost doubling the number of visitors.”
Frydman highlighted: “Once again it established itself as the main agro-industrial exhibition in the region. Offering opportunities for companies, press, officials, producers, contractors, advisors, ranchers, entities and associations. In short, it was an exhibition that exceeded all expectations in terms of business, attendance and services.”
Figures in hand
Expoagro 2024 was visited by 180,000 visitors, representatives from more than 46 countries and more than 60 political figures – from the President of the Nation to ministers, secretaries of state, governors, legislators, mayors and councilors. In addition, there were 1,500 accredited journalists.
With the participation of more than 600 exhibiting companies, there were around 50 product and service launches. About 200 networking meetings were held at the LDC Agribusiness Center.
On the other hand, there were 30 hours of live streaming transmission, with 108 notes made on the premises and in the studio. It got 9,500 views. Furthermore, this year the exhibition became the first to implement a new visitor service: the chatbot known as ExpoBot, which debuted as a virtual assistant to answer the questions of its visitors through WhatsApp. ExpoBot was available 24 hours a day during the four days of the expo.
The organization said that they also conducted a satisfaction survey among the people who interacted with the bot: “There was very good acceptance by the public.” And they added: “It is the first year that we implemented this innovation at Expoagro. “We are proud and eager to perfect it for the 2025 edition.”

Regarding banking operations, there was participation of twelve entities, both public and private. Banco Provincia, main sponsor of Expoagro, received more than 2,000 pre-applications for credit to purchase machinery for $270,000 million and US$140 million.
According to reports, during the four days there was a constant demand for financing in both pesos and dollars. Also highlighted was the special line of working capital with a rate of 60% annually, a unique proposal of its kind during the expo.
In addition, through Procampo Digital, more than 100 operations were carried out for $1.5 billion, based on special promotions on supplies, spare parts and accessories for machinery and farms. These special benefits of the new technological solution for agriculture will remain in force until March 27.
Banco Nación, sponsor of the mega-show, multiplied the financing destined for the agro-industrial sector with the placement of 900 billion pesos and 450 million dollars, achieving record operations in credit assistance for working capital and investment, compared to the last 6 years . In total 4,477 applications were received.
This financing was one of the most aggressive proposals with which the BNA arrived at the sample, aimed at MSMEs and large companies, with a rate of between 68% and 80%, highly competitive for the market.
For its part, Banco Galicia, sponsor of Expoagro, reported: “At the expo we observed that the demand for credit began to reactivate in all the Galicia Rural financing lines offered by the bank. There is a special interest in dollar lines that were the most consulted, and where demand and transaction settlements are beginning to grow.” In summary, Banco Galicia had a week with more than 3,000 operations, among which more than 200 machinery financing operations stand out that began their process and are expected to continue growing as suppliers confirm sales. Added to this are financing operations for the sale of inputs, SGR, check discounting, and SGR.
On the other hand, ICBC reported registered operations for a total of 34 billion pesos.
“For Santander it was a good exhibition in general terms, where it was sold at values similar to those of last year, despite the fact that there are no incentives to borrow in pesos in 2023. This was a year where there were clearly many more businesses. in dollars than in pesos. In general terms, 80% of the financing was in dollars, 20% in pesos,” said Fernando Bautista, head of Agribusiness at Santander Argentina.
And at BBVA, they exceeded the expected forecasts with 70 million dollars and about 20 billion pesos. Meanwhile, Banco La Pampa registered more than 20 billion pesos of requests, exceeding the amount of the previous year, in more than 400 requests. From Banco Macro they indicated that it was a very dynamic exhibition with many specific business inquiries for the purchase of supplies and machinery. The star was the special 18-month dollar line that generated more than 150 confirmed operations. “Also, our more than 30 special agreements in dollars generated more than 200 confirmed operations for the purchase of agricultural machinery,” they detailed.
