Sharjah, September 10, 2017 – The Sharjah Expo Center discussed with the British Bett Center, which specializes in organizing education exhibitions, ways to develop prospects for joint work in the fields of educational exhibitions and conferences and organizing joint events to advance the role of the exhibition industry in contributing to supporting the education sector.
This came during the meeting held at Expo Center Sharjah between His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Center Sharjah, Tom Ball, Director of Global Strategic Partnerships at BET Exhibition Center, and Camilla Johansen, Global Key Accounts Manager at BET.
The two sides discussed the mechanism for strengthening bilateral work, documenting best practices, and exchanging expertise and experiences in the field of exhibitions specialized in the education sector.
His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Midfa confirmed that holding this meeting comes within the framework of Expo Center Sharjah’s keenness to strengthen the partnership with all exhibition organizers at the global level to exchange expertise, experiences and best global practices with the aim of developing the specialized exhibition industry and enhancing its contribution to various economic, commercial and cultural sectors.
His Excellency said: “This meeting opens the way towards developing specialized events in the education sector in both Sharjah and Britain by working to enhance the presence of British educational institutions in the exhibitions hosted and organized by Expo Sharjah throughout the year, in addition to expanding the participation of educational institutions in Sharjah in the exhibitions that are held.” In Britain, in addition to exchanging information and opinions on ways to provide education exhibitions on both sides with innovative activities.”
For his part, Tom Paul stressed that this meeting paves the way for a new start for cooperation between the two sides, documenting best practices and exchanging expertise and experiences in the field of exhibitions specialized in the education sector, noting that the “Beit” Center is considered one of the most important centers specialized in organizing education exhibitions in the world.
