The explosive ordnance disposal service found several aerial bombs on the site of an allotment garden in Kiel-Elmschenhagen. To defuse the situation today, 3,200 people have to leave their homes.
During exploratory work in Kiel, the explosive ordnance disposal service found four American aerial bombs on the allotment garden area between the city limits and Schwentinental.
Around 3,200 residents in around 1,600 households have to leave the area between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. today for defusing and rescue operations. The Lilli Martius School in Kiel is available as alternative accommodation from 8 a.m. The city has published on its homepage which streets are affected by the evacuation. In addition, the B76 must be partially closed.
