“Explosions in Ukraine: Child and Woman Killed in Dnipro, Rocket Hits Residential Building in Uman”

Local “Telegram” channels report explosions in Dnipro and the region, Kremenchuk, Poltava and Mykolaiv, as well as in Kyiv.

Mayor of Dnipro Boris Filatov reported that a three-year-old child and a young woman were killed in the missile strike.

Meanwhile, a rocket hit and partially destroyed a nine-story residential building in the city of Uman, Cherkasy region. At least five residents of the house have been hospitalized, but rescuers continue to work at the scene, trying to find another survivor under the ruins.

Russia also carried out airstrikes on the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv.

11 cruise missiles and two drones have been shot down over Kyiv on Friday morning. There are no reports of major damage or casualties.

CONTEXT:

Russia started the war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin. A large-scale offensive failed, Ukraine did not give up and, receiving foreign military assistance, the Ukrainian army managed to stop the invaders and in the autumn also free the Kharkiv region and recover Kherson.

Meanwhile, several analysts are increasingly talking about the upcoming Ukrainian counterattack, and in recent months, various incidents, explosions and drone attacks have also taken place on the territory of Russia, as well as in Belarus, where explosions at the military airfield are taking place.
