The incident took place on the outskirts of the city of Chachak in the central part of the country. At the time of the start of the fire, there were 60 workers in the factory.
It is reported that they are all alive, as they hid in a concrete bomb shelter. Local residents in the surrounding areas were evacuated.
Explosions are reported to still be heard, but smoke is no longer visible over the factory. The road to the plant also remains closed.
