Several explosions were heard in the vicinity of the bridge connecting Russia with the occupied Crimean peninsula on Saturday night, UNIAN news agency reports.

Local residents report a total of three loud explosions.
“Telegram” channel “Mash” reports that the lighting on the Crimean bridge has been turned off, which is likely due to security measures. The approach to the bridge is also closed.
There may have been an attempt to attack the bridge with floating drones.

After a series of explosions, the occupiers launched three fighter jets to intercept aerial targets over the Sea of Azov. “Soldiers of the Army of the Russian Federation are on high alert in Crimea. Especially in Sevastopol,” the partisan movement “Ateš” reports.
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Crimean bridge has already been hit by explosions twice. The first time was on October 8, 2022, and the second time was on July 17 this year.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, admitted that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) was involved in both cases, UNIAN explains.
After the July explosion, the media reported that the bridge was being equipped with water fences for additional safety.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began on the morning of February 24, 2022, with rocket fire, airstrikes, and the arrival of ground forces. Russia initially cited the “denazification” of Ukraine as one of the goals of the invasion.
