Residents were alarmed by a loud noise that was reported after 10:00 p.m. this Tuesday on Plaza Dañín avenue and Juan J. Medina street, in the north of the city.
Personnel from the Fire Department mobilized due to an alert that was initially handled as a fire at the premises of a well-known bakery.
Several units moved to the site. However, after a few minutes that alert was dismissed and they withdrew from the site.
At the site, slight damage was evidenced in the lower part of one of the roll-up doors and part of a wall. These affectations would have been caused by an explosion of a device.
Police personnel went to the site to initiate investigations into the possible use of an explosive device in this event.
Units from the Intervention and Rescue Group (GIR) were expected to arrive to analyze the scene and confirm the use of some type of explosive device.
Likewise, investigative units planned to review the cameras installed in the area to obtain clues from those responsible for this incident.
Given the alert, the business owner also approached the site. (I)
