Explosion outside Hamas office in Beirut claims the life of deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri – Israeli involvement suspected

On Tuesday, an explosion occurred outside the Hamas office in Beirut. Saleh al-Arouri, who was the deputy political leader of the organization and one of the founders of the military wing of Hamas, died. The leader of Lebanese Hezbollah promised consequences.

Lebanese media reported that the explosion was the result of an Israeli drone strike. However, Israel refused to comment on the situation, although Benjamin Netanyahu promised to destroy Saleh al-Arouri even before the Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip.

But the leader of Hezbollah made a statement.

“Any murder on Lebanese soil, either of a Lebanese, or a Syrian, or an Iranian and a Palestinian, will be met with a decisive rebuff. We will not allow Lebanon to become a new killing ground for Israel,” Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said in a video message.

Since the start of the Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah and Israel have been exchanging blows. However, now the situation threatens to degenerate into the opening of a full-fledged new front against Israel – not in the north.
