Once again there has been an explosion on the Crooswijkseweg in Rotterdam. Around 02.30 am last night an explosive went off at the building of a toko, the police reported. No one was injured.

It is the fourth incident on this street this week. On Friday, another attack was prevented. Yesterday an object was found in front of a toko in the street. It is not known whether it is the same store. Shortly after, there was an explosion somewhere further down town.

Rotterdam has been plagued by explosions lately. So far this year, explosives have been installed at more than fifty business premises and residential homes in Rotterdam. That is more than in the whole of 2022. It would concern drug-related incidents.

On Wednesday evening, a 32-year-old man was arrested who was allegedly involved in placing a fire bomb on Crooswijkseweg and Van Speykstraat. A few hours later, in the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the police caught two boys aged 14 and 15 placing a fire bomb at a building on Van Speykstraat.
