The Russians carried out a massive attack on May 8
- On the night of May 8, the Russian military terrorized Ukraine with the help of various types of missiles and Shaheds. In particular, launches from Tu-95MS bombers were recorded; Caliber and Kinzhal aircraft flew to Ukraine.
- Air Force Commander Nikolai Oleschuk said that during the massive attack on Ukraine on May 8, the Russians used 76 air attack weapons. In total, Ukrainian defenders managed to destroy 59 of them.
- The Russians’ target this time again was the energy structure of our state. As reported by the Ministry of Energy, the enemy massively attacked power generation and transmission facilities in 6 regions – in Poltava, Kirovograd, Zaporozhye, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Vinnytsia regions.
- As a result of the attack, two Ukrainian hydroelectric power plants were completely decommissioned. According to Ukrhydroenergo, today all hydroelectric power generation is severely damaged. Destroyed equipment requires great effort for repair, restoration and significant financial resources.
