The Lebanese state news agency NNA reported on Saturday that one person was killed in the blast, but more than ten more were poisoned by smoke and two rescuers were injured.

The NNA reported on Friday that a weapons depot owned by Hamas had exploded in the Burjim Shali refugee camp near Tire. The group condemned the news as a “media disinformation campaign and the dissemination of false news.”

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported ten to 12 injuries.

Residents living near the camp said they felt the ground tremble under their feet when the explosions took place.

A Palestinian news source said that a fire broke out near the mosque in the camp shortly before the bombings.

The Lebanese army demarcated the area and launched an investigation into the incident.

Some 400,000 Palestinian refugees live in 12 camps in Lebanon.
