At least 50 people died in an explosion in the Jabalia Palestinian refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, Reuters reports.
It has already been reported that Israeli soldiers had fierce battles with militants of the Palestinian group “Hamas” in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, the Israeli army said.
Israeli troops “were engaged in heavy fighting with Hamas terrorists deep inside the Gaza Strip,” the army said in a statement.
Dozens of militants have been killed in the past few hours, the army said.
The soldiers struck “anti-tank missile launch units and anti-tank missile launch and observation posts,” the statement said.
The soldiers also received weapons from “Hamas”, including rifles and bombs.
