Explosion big hit downtown Istanbul, Turkey. The impact of the blast reported that dozens of people were injured.
As AFP reported on Sunday (13/11/2022), Turkish media reported that an explosion had occurred on Istiklal Avenue. It is a popular pedestrian zone in Istanbul.
Meanwhile, as reported by the Washington Post, 11 people were injured in the explosion. This pedestrian zone is a thoroughfare for tourists and locals alike, with rows of shops and restaurants.
Explosion The incident was reported at around 4:20pm WIB or 1:30pm local time. A video posted online showed flames erupting and a loud bang as passers-by turned and fled.
Other footage shows ambulances, fire trucks and police at the scene. The cause of the explosion was unclear. Social media users said shops are closed and streets closed.
