An explosion took place in a mail room in a business premises on a business park in Amsterdam’s Sloterdijk district on Wednesday morning around 8 a.m. The police are probably responsible for a bomb letter. Nobody was injured.
Multiple emergency services were pulled out due to the incident. An explosives scout from the police has also been summoned.
At the beginning of this year, several bomb letters were sent to companies in Amsterdam, Maastricht, Utrecht and Rotterdam. However, such a package has never exploded. The police warned earlier that such a letter could cause serious physical injury.
Until Wednesday was the last report of a bomb letter on January 10.
